St. Ann's Home and School is currently hiring for the following position for its education program.

Teacher Assistant

Job Description:

Responsible for the planning and implementation of small group lessons in language and math.
Assists the classroom teacher in other subject areas and may be responsible for additional academic planning as deemed appropriate.
Responsible for much of the one-to-one attention given to children who need extra help.
Assumes responsibility for managing the classroom in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Participates in weekly supervision, attends staff meetings, and participates in the in-service training program.
Participates in meetings with the treatment teams regarding the children in their classrooms.
Responsible for many technical aspects of their classroom's functioning.

Qualifications:

Teacher assistants should possess a BA or BS preferably in a related field.
