Pre-Independent Living ~ The Foundation

Pre-Independent Living.... St. Ann's Home & School has begun construction on our second Pre-Independent Living (PIL) Group Home. Similar in function and purpose to the successful and well-received PIL group Home for males, this new home will house females between the ages of 16 and 22 who have "aged-out" of foster and residential care services. The new home is being built on a nearby lot in a residential neighborhood and will have beds for up to eight females. Forward looking, St. Ann's leadership long ago identified this as a growing need and, in spite of the economy and the effects seen in all areas, the needs of children continue to grow and St. Ann's has taken up that call.
